Tall, dark, handsome, chiseled bod, pearly whites, flawless hair, impeccable style, with an accent that to die for. Your typical "Mr. Hollister", the type of guy most girls drool over on TV.
But what is it girls really prefer, Mr. Hollister or Mr. Romance.
Mr. Romance comes in all shapes and sizes but most of the time Mr. Hollister and Mr. Romance are never the same guy.
Mr. Romance is often that guy you see everyday in the hallway. The one with the cow lick hair, the rounder physique, and quirky personality. The kid in the back of the class cracking jokes, that you only think are funny. Chances are if you stoped stareing at "Mr. Hollister" that sits in front of you and paided attention to the average kid next to you. Chances are you'll start to find the TV Teen Romance you've only dreamed of.
Now that you've noticed the average kid don't be disappointed if he doesn't all of a sudden start buying you candy and flowers. Give Mr. Possibly a break.
Not only have teenybopper movies ruined the idea of "love" for teenage girls everywhere. But the love life's of teenage boys are getting harder and harder to fulfil, because more is being expected of them. They feel obligated to be "perfect looking and to know everything about girls".
Anymore writing a note in math class and passing it to the crush of your dreams, with the meaningful inscription of,
"Do you like me?
Check YES or NO"
isn't enough for today's love note desiring teenage girl.
Most girls would die for a guy to buy her flowers for no reason, beyond the obvious fact shes beautiful in his eyes. But lets get real, what hormone driven teen is going to go that far.
In TV shows like MTV's Laguna Beach, Mr. Hollister has the ability to sweep every girl of there feet, with candle light dinners on the beach to a rose petal prom proposal.
But here in the OC you've got El Acapulco dinners to a text message prom proposal.
There's a big difference to this supposedly "reality" shows to the reality we live in.
Unfortunately for us love stuck girls, instead of our average reality guys sending ten page, I Miss You, love notes.
"Hey whats up" texts during class, have the same effect.
